Mexican Radio was written in 1982 by Stan Ridgway and Marc Moreland of Wall of Voodoo. It appeared on their album Call of the West. Gruppo Sportivo released it in 1988 as a single from their compilation album Back to 19 Mistakes. It might as well have been a Gruppo Sportivo song as far as I'm concerned.
